Existing Macro Structure, Ministry of Tourism, Trade & Industry
The Ministry has eight departments and three units, namely:

   1. Department of Finance and Administration
   2. Department of External Trade
   3. Department Of Internal Trade   
   4. Department of Tourism Development
   5. Department Of wildlife Conservation
   6. Department of Cooperative Development
   7. Department of Industry and Technology
   8. Department of Museums and Monuments
   9. The Policy Analysis Unit
  10. The Resource Centre Unit
   11. The Procurement and Disposal Unit.

The Ministry also oversees the operations of the following semi-autonomous institutions;

    *     Uganda National Bureau of Standards
    *     Management Training and Advisory Centre
    *     Uganda Export Promotion Board
    *     Uganda Wildlife Education Centre
    *     Uganda Wildlife Authority
    *     Uganda Tourist Board
    *     Uganda Industrial Research Institute
    *      Uganda Commodity Exchange
   
THE DIRECTORATE OF TOURISM, TRADE AND INDUSTRY

The Directorate of Tourism, Trade and Industry links and coordinates the technical needs of departments in the Ministry and the Permanent Secretary. The directorate is headed by a Director and has three other staff. The establishment is as follows:
