The Policy Analysis Unit
The main functions of this unit are:
1. To analyse and review sector policies
2. Carry out baseline investigations and research on policy implementation.
3. Monitor and evaluate ROM (Result Oriented Management). This includes departmental activities and project activities.
4. Monitor and evaluate the regional intergration programmes e.g. COMESA, EAC, etc.
5. Make plans/budget for utilization of resources.
6. Conduct research on implementation of sector policies
7. Participate in interdepartmental meetings.
8. Participate in inter ministerial meetings.
9. Monitor and evaluate the promotion and strengthening the private sector.
10. Intergration of HIV/AIDS activities into Ministry programmes.
11. Maintain a desk on private sector promotion.
12. Maintain a desk on regional intergration.
